**2026 NCAPD– Mental Health, Well-being for Providers & Opioid Prescribing Update (3 CEUs)** This continuing education program supports dental providers in strengthening their mental health awareness, personal well-being, and responsible opioid-prescribing practices. Participants will explore strategies for recognizing stress, burnout, compassion fatigue, and other mental health concerns while learning practical approaches to promote resilience and professional wellness. The program also provides an update on safe, evidence-informed opioid prescribing, including risk assessment, patient education, monitoring, alternatives for pain management, and preventing misuse. Designed for dental professionals, this course fulfills **3 continuing education hours** and promotes compassionate, ethical, and patient-centered care.This course meets the NC State Board of Dental Examiners requirements on mental health and substance use for dental providers. Upon completion of this course and post test quiz, participants will confer 1 CE hour of credit. Athena Dental Solutions, LLC is an ADA/CERP and AGD/PACE approved provider.
