This advanced program is designed for dental hygiene educators and clinicians to refine their clinical instruction and skills in periodontology. It provides a deep dive into the current AAP staging and grading classification system, ensuring accurate disease assessment and student calibration. The curriculum covers complex root anatomy, the application of specialized hand instruments like modified Gracey curettes, and advanced ultrasonic techniques. Participants will examine pedagogical strategies for teaching deep pocket debridement and managing complex clinical cases, maintaining the high standards expected by ADA/CERP and AGD/PACE guidelines. Completion of this course awards 2 CE hours.
